A quiz on wildlife was held on 3 November.

Sensitization drive by Eco Club of KIIT

Eco club and Interact Club of KIIT World School held a campaign for Cracker Free Deepawali before going on Diwali break. Students enthusiastically undertook slogan writing and signature campaigns where all the students signed a pledge not to use fire crackers on Diwali. Students also pledged to spread awareness about hazards of crackers among their peers, family and neighborhood.
They also took out a rally along with other clubs as part of their SAY NO TO CRACKERS DRIVE where they tried to create awareness towards hazards of crackers around the areas adjacent to school and tried to convince people to abandon the use of crackers.

Water Verses

'WATER VERSES' a poetry writing competition on water theme was conducted to highlight the importance of water conservation.
Various interesting verses were composed by students. A poem by Keshav Kaushik was unanimously judged to be the best.

Paani Panchayat

पानी पंचायत was held for Eco Club members whereby members  discussed advantages/ disadvantages of following ideas to conserve water such as:

•     Use of waste water from AC for gardening ,washing etc.
•     Use of microwave for cooking purposes
•     Controlling the flow of taps to avoid excess use of water
•     Not drinking water from the taps directly
•     Rain water harvesting

All the members pledged to utilize these ideas and to encourage others to do the same.

Slogans for saving water

Eco club members of classes XI & XII had a Slogan Writing Activity on the theme 'SAVE WATER' was conducted. Students wrote some of the most catchy and thoughtful Slogans such as :

'SAVE WATER OR REPENT LATER'
'WATER IS INDISPENSABLE, ITS WASTE IS UNACCEPTABLE'   

'आज जल का संचय न  होगा,  सोचो निर्जल कैसा जीवन होगा,'

Tree Plantation Drive by KIITians

All the members assembled in the school ground for much awaited TREE PLANTATION DRIVE. Students planted saplings in groups at various spots inside & around the campus. Each student adopted the plant planted by him and took a pledge to nurture. Students were really excited to be able to have contributed to the cause of environment protection.Various dignitaries and guests from Department of Environment and the Directorate of Education also graced the occasion.
